Twice had Summer her fair Verdure

Proffered to the Plain --

Twice a Winter's silver Fracture

On the Rivers been --

Two full Autumns for the Squirrel

Bounteous prepared --

Nature, Had'st thou not a Berry

For thy wandering Bird?
