My new poem: Light Through Fogs for Parapan Am Torch Relay (Mississauga)

The Culture Division of Mississauga has received a request for me to do a reading at the Para-Pan Am Torch Relay event on Wednesday August 5th at Lakeside Park. So I wrote a new poem for the event: Light Through Fogs. （因被密西沙加市任命为本市首届桂冠诗人，所以一些重要场合和事件，市内会希望我写诗和读诗来推广本市文化形象。。。本来没写这类诗，为了这次运动会，写了，市里很满意，所以翻译一下贴出。。。）

New poem: Light Through Fogs for Parapan Am Torch Relay (Mississauga)

Some say
The world is ruled by money…
See –
shadows after gold diggers,
smog puffing from forests of factories,
tricks behind stock screens…
all scream:
Show the money!

But here in this fair sport world,
the evil games are doomed not to win,
the graceful ones proceed to succeed.

Here athletes hold spirits high with pride!
Here athletes take the torch to the sky!
Each effort expresses discipline.
Each bead of sweat shows diligence.
Each struggle strives for excellence.
Each exertion speaks collaboration.

We see light through fogs and humanity glow.
We hear laughter loud and cheers everywhere.
Let us carry the light for greater strength.
Let us spread the spirit for full fairness.torch

See the light breaking through!

光亮透过浓雾 -写给泛美残运会

有人说
这个世界由金钱来统治...
看 -
追随淘金者的长长的黑影，
烟雾浓浓自树林般的工厂里喷出，
股票屏幕后各种伎俩...
所有的都在尖叫：
出示钞票！

但这儿，在这个公平的运动世界里，
邪恶的游戏注定不会得逞，
圣洁的才能继续获得成功。

在这里，运动员骄傲地高举运动精神！
在这里，运动员高举火炬直至天空！
每一份努力明示纪律。
每一粒汗珠显示勤奋。
每一分奋斗力臻完美。
每一个劳累表现协作。

我们看到光亮透过浓雾和人性光芒闪亮。
我们听到响亮笑声和欢呼声连成一片。
让我们携带光亮更有力量。
让我们传播精神处处公平。

加油！运动员，加油！
看光亮透过浓雾！
