英汉《夜深了》三缘诗，姜海舟英译

夜深了

我也要分手了
回头望去──草坡上留下的这两把椅子
变成了一对国王夫妻
在品赏月色

IT’S MIDNIGHT

We shall part also,
Looking back──It remains two chairs there on the sloping meadow,
And they become the King and the Queen. The couple are
Appreciating the beauty of the moon now.

We shall part also,---原文是第一人称单数，而译文用复数，恐怕更多考虑是在part的用法。原文为什么用第一人称呢？主动的？被动的？是决意，还是无奈？可能这正是诗人的意图。另外原文没有标点，而译文用来逗号，从英文文法角度来考虑是不合理，无法引出后面的looking。
Looking back──It remains two chairs there on the sloping meadow, --译文中的it指什么呢，没有着落。
And they become the King and the Queen. The couple are – 原文一句很简洁，译文却用来两句，they 和the couple重复拖沓。
Appreciating the beauty of the moon now.—Appreciating太过正式，用在此出，无法与月色相融。Enjoy 或 taste 更意象鲜明。

谢谢来看。分开是二人，逗号是二句神略连词，主动被动都可以的，IT指THERE，分开是为了强调。。。
可以译得更好。

综合以上意见，试越俎代庖改一改：

Appreciating the beauty of the moon.

不过我觉得这首诗不好，结尾的想象太突兀：椅子怎么品赏月色呢，椅子怎么变成了国王夫妻，而不是别的什么夫妻呢。虽然诗可以用跳跃思维，但一首好的诗，应当是一个自足的系统，每个意象都呼应另一个或几个意象，让人觉得一个意象的出现顺理成章，甚至不可避免，否则可能就成了不可解的哑谜。

嗯。也许可以这么理解吧，如今只有那空空的椅子拥有这美好的夜色了，那个speaker是羡慕嫉妒恨哪！

这个比喻真的是让人很惊愕。

Enjoying the moonlight.
弟以为这里用who are结尾可以再斟酌一下。are如果是轻读，放在句末不太自然；如果是重读，原文似乎没有这层意思。“品尝月色”还可以更具体一点，用savoring the moonlight来翻译。
原诗第一句的“也”字在原文中呼应标题：夜深了，我也要跟你分手了，但在译文中无论是also还是too都未能呼应标题，会误导读者去下文寻找线索。

翻译在某种程度上就是改写。
我译时are是重读的，断行时的一个留白，一个悬念吧。
