    徐玉诺

  我坐在轻松松的草原里,慢慢的把破布一般摺叠着的梦开展;

Future’s Garden

         Xu YuNuo

I am sitting in gentle grassland,
and I slowly unravel a dream
folded up like an old cloth;
this is my task, ah!
to weave for us with the greatest care
new flowers onto its old pattern,
made of the more beautiful, the more fresh
and the more suitable in my heart ;
preparing … … for later … …
this will be the children’s garden!

Le Jardin du Futur
    Xu YuNuo

plié tel un vieux tissu ;
de plus frais, de plus apte ;
préparer … … car plus tard … …

ce sera le jardin des enfants.

她很能把两翼合起来,头也缩进在一翅下,同一块木板似的漂浮在波浪上;

The Seagull

Xu YuNuo

The world can reduce its burden, not as the seagull can.
She can fold her wings, hide her head into them, and like a piece of wood float on the waves;
She is aware of nothing – not even of her weight.
Every time the sun comes out, she takes a ride on the wind flying for flying:
But wherever she sits down, is home – she has no special memories, just the ups and downs of the waves.
Even the sea she cannot remember, she eats, and flies, and cries, and sits … … from birth to grave … …
How stupid, you have never tasted the flavor of memories, you seagull!
No one in the universe is as free as you.

他们怕着最后的死;

The World of Man

 Xu YuNuo

One day Heaven asked Earth:
What are people doing all day, what are they so busy with?
Earth answered:
They are on their way to death; they are busy dying.
Heaven:
Are they all going that way? That cannot be,
All of them doing the same?
Earth:
It is difficult to grasp indeed; but they obey to the order of death. They are all loyal to death;
All they do is for the sake of death, and all they own comes down to death.
Heaven:
… … … … … …
Earth:
So a lover for a lover worries, and is in pain; a mother for her son worries, is in pain … …
Children for their parents worry, and are in pain … …
The people for their land, their rights, the ambitious for their gain, the writers for their fame, they worry and are in pain … …
They worry for their inevitable death;
They are in pain for their inevitable death.
And in the middle there is all they are forced to do; -- much of which out of worries and much of which out of pain; in the end though … …
In the end they reunite all with death.

不要唱这个!这会教我们的心,一不小心酸痛起来;

A New Song

Xu YuNuo

Hello, our singer there – such a curious bird!
Don’t feel so inconsolable; the sun will end up coming out.
Hey, our singer there!
Do not sing that! It may turn our hearts sour and sore;
Sing a new song, praise the sun when she is hurrying down there far!
Proclaim that she – the sun – bestowed upon us – darkness’ – full beauty!
Proclaim how we will greet the happiness she’ll bring!

May 4, night

在梦里却不像这路上,一步一步的走去;

Sleepwalking

Xu YuNuo

I knew it! I knew it!
In a dream a road is not like a road you walk on, step by step;
The routes there are bizarre!
Above and below they are paved with flexible cotton.
Neither do your feet need the least of strength!
As long as you lay your head down on them, there,
They twist and turn, like in a valley a small river, flowing on and on.

—— May 5

Home Town

Xu YuNuo

For the child hometown was hidden in the water borne clouds at twilight.
Ah, hometown in the clouds, how tender and sweet!
For the child hometown was a lullaby at nightfall sung by little birds in the dark woods.
Ah, hometown in the twitter of birds, how their tunes linger on fine, pure grace!
As a charm the child was asleep in his hometown.

—— May 5
